As a regular user I support the proposal to expand and improve the airport facilities but this must go hand in hand with improvements to the access to the airport. A duel carriageway link direct to the airport from either the M5 or A38 is required. The current route off sign posted off the M5 down the Portway and via Ashton Gate does not work during the working day and the rat run via Portbury and Barrow Gurney is unfair on those that live there. Without these improvements encouraging more passengers to use the airport with sub standard road links and no rail link could be a disaster.
