Any proposed Expansion of the airport must take into account the supporting infrastructure and the effect on the local community. 
We have already seen an increase in illegal carparking over the past few years on Greenbelt land with little effective control of  enforcement orders from the council. 
Downside road and Brockley coombe can not support additional traffic it's a 'C' class road with no pavements which is used as a cut through from the A370 to the airport.
There is no mention of support or improvement to the infrastructure in the proposals, just constant reference to additional car parking and attracting more passengers. 
It's all very well for people outside the local area supporting the proposal but they don't have to live with the knock on effects of an expanding airport in their daily lives.
A proposal with joined up thinking about the infrastructure supporting the development and who would pay for it would be much more useful when reviewing the specific proposal for airport expansion for profit.
